We were hanging out in North Platte, Nebraska on our way to South Dakota when we learned that Glacier National Park would be closing the main road to the Grinnell Glacier trail head on September 20, 2021. We decided to skip Mount Rushmore and go straight to Glacier. It was September 15 and we would just make it in time. We drove a straight diagonal line through Nebraska, Wyoming and Montana to the top of the Country.

The first night we stayed at a terrible little campground in Powder River Montana. The next night we stayed in Great Falls at the FamCamp at Malmstrom Air Force Base. It was nice and quiet except for the cool Ospray Aircraft flying overhead. We hoped to reach Glacier the next day.
